We’ve got two new restaurants opening near The Shelby Residences! East Dallas’ hot new SMU University Crossing neighborhood continues to attract growth. Two new restaurants are opening steps from The Shelby Residences, offering our owners even more dining options minutes from their doorstep.

The Seven Five (a nod to the nearby central expressway) just opened on SMU Boulevard at Greenville Ave, and features a massive patio that wraps around two sides of the building – perfect for enjoying cool beverages on a warm summer night. The hip new bar offers 16 beers on tap (including basic beers, local brews, and a couple of novelties), and serves staples like pizza, burgers, wings, plus more exotic fare like Cuban sandwiches and their signature beer-battered fried mushrooms. A new eatery from Kenzo Tran, owner of Piranha Killer Sushi and Pho District in Fort Worth, is also opening soon on SMU Boulevard. The fast-casual restaurant will feature Japanese inspired street food like ramen and bao (delicious steamed buns stuffed with savory goodness). Guests will also want to try their Japanese-style hot dogs – a big hit in the Pacific Northwest – which are topped with ingredients like sukiyaki-style beef, pickled ginger, wasabi, and seaweed.
